Art. 19
The main theme of this provision is justice. This prevents a person from
abusing his rights against another. The law recognizes the limitation on all
rights that in their exercise every person must act with justice, give
everyone his due and observe honesty and good faith. A person who
exercise a right against this provision, though legal, overstep the right of
another person must be held liable.
Art. 1700
This provision classifies labor contracts as contracts for the common good
and public interest. This protects the laborers from abuses and protects
their rights. Labor contracts are also subject to special laws on labor
unions, collective bargaining, working conditions and similar matters.
