Be able to evaluate statements based on textual clues.
Be knowledgeable about a variety of social and political influences on literature.
Have a respect for literature and its contributions to society and our everyday lives and
citizens.

In order to best prepare my students, I will:

Create a friendly and inviting classroom experience.


Create and follow procedures.
Study the material I hand out to students.
Be respectful to differences of opinions and beliefs.
Assign level appropriate reading choices.
Focus on student interaction and hands on experience with various texts.
Use technology when appropriate.
