To Whom It May Concern:
Lauren Hall is an incredible young teaching professional with the potential to become an
elite educator. In only one year at John F. Kennedy ~ The American School of Querétaro,
she has impressed administrators, students, and parents with her innovative and dynamic
instructional methods, high expectations for student learning, differentiation, clear and
concise instructional delivery, and superb classroom management.
As the Middle School Principal, I have directly supervised Ms. Hall for the past year in her
role as the 6% Grade International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program English Literature
and Language teacher. As a first year teacher, Ms. Hall was awarded a “consistent”
ranking on all six of our professional teaching standards- Sets High Expectations,
Effectively Plans to Engage Students, Uses Research-Based Strategies to Meet the Needs of.
Diverse Learners, Establishes a Safe and Secure Environment, Effectively Monitors Student
Progress, and Professionalism ~ a remarkable achievement for a first-year teacher. In
particular, Ms. Hall demonstrated a superb ability to use the IB MYP Unit Planner,
scaffolding units of inquiry through factual, conceptual, and debate questions and
designing true opportunities for student collaboration. She also contributed to our
collaborative learning groups through leading professional development sessions on
classroom organization of the learning environment, providing feedback and commentary
on planning and assessment during department planning sessions, writing articles for our
middle school blog, and creating resources used by teachers in different grade levels and
departments.
Ms. Hall has won the respect of our community in her first year through her superior
work ethic, sense of responsibility, and dedication to the craft of teaching as a profession
of continuous improvement. As her evaluator, I recommend her with no reservation, and
Iwould be honored to re-hire her in the future for employment at John F. Kennedy ~ The
American School of Querétaro.
Sincerely,
Robert Callahan
