During the first half of the year, students will learn about the different functions within an organization. Topics include
Management Theories, Organizational Structure, Management Functions, Management Levels, Leadership Styles,
Organizational Goals, Social Responsibility, Ethics in Business, Human Resource Management, Communication, and
Management Planning. The first half of the year will culminate in the creation of a management plan. During the secon
half of the year, students will further apply concepts learned in the first half of the year by developing a Teacher
Assistant Training and Management Program (TATMP). Additionally, students will explore Career Planning, which wil
includes topics on Personal Skills and Interests Inventories, Resume Writing, Interview Skills, and Job Searching. The
second half of the year will culminate in Mock Interviews. Students will be complete a Career Portfolio including a
Cover Letter, Resume, Behavior-based Interview Questions and Answers, Career Path Search, and Job Market Research
