actorsaspire,desire,envision,expect,fear,imagine,plan,
project,reject,sustain,andwagewaroverfutures.Whatcan
sociologycontributetothesebroaderdebates?Howdo
assumptionsandaspirationsaboutthefutureinfluencedaily
routinesandlongtermcollectivelives?Howarerisksidentified,
avoided,mitigated,transferred,orshared?Whatclosesand
opensthehorizonsofsocialimaginaries?Howaredifferent

situationstothebroadmacrodynamicsaffectingtheentire
planet.Itencouragesinquiriesintothemultiplicityof
possibilities,projects,andvisions.Itwelcomesdiverse
approaches,includingcomparativeandinterdisciplinary
collaborations.
