The second annual Hounds for Hometown Heroes will be held April 16 from 10 a.m.

Parker Paws Wish List Drive
Parker Paws will be participating in The Church at the Crossings donation fair from
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Theeventis geared towards collecting donations of much needed items
for local charities. In addition to Parker Paws, the list includes AdvoCats, Manna and
Pythian Home to name a few. You will have the opportunity to meet volunteers and get
more information about how you can help each represented organization.

The Adell-Whitt Fish Fry and Auction will be held April 16 with serving beginning at
5 p.m. at the Adell-Whitt VFD in Whitt.

VFW Post 4746 will host its Spring Fling Chili and BBQ Cook-Off April 15 and 16.
Entries and fees include Bloody Marys ($5), Margaritas ($5), Salsa ($5), Beans ($5),
Desserts ($5), Chicken ($10), Ribs ($10), Brisket ($10), Pork Butt ($10) and Chili
($15).
All entries must be cooked on premises. Turn in time is 7 p.m.
Electric hook-ups for $10 a day will be available.

Weatherford Band Annual BBQ Dinner

The Weatherford Band Annual BBQ dinner and auction will occur on Saturday, April
16, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Durant Auditorium at Weatherford High School.
Bands from Hall and Tison Middle Schools as well as the WHS Bands will perform.
Currently, we have about 50 baskets and 16 gift certificates ($50 value). We have two
raffle items, a crocheted blanket that is a replica of the show shirt from this year and 6
Texas Rangers Baseball tickets and two parking passes for theMay 14game against the
Toronto Blue Jays donated by First National Bank.
The concerts are free and open to the public.

Pursuit Marriage conference

New River Fellowship will host a Pursuit Marriage conference April 15, from 7-10
