Eurail appoints new Chief Communications Officer


Utrecht, Nld. October 20, 2015 The leading asset to train travelers of European destinations
has a new chief communications officer. The chief executive officer, Mary Romano, announced
today the appointment of Simone Mekli as chief communications officer of Eurail. We are
excited to welcome today, Ms. Mekli, whose experience and charisma will be an addition to our
team, said Romano.

Mekli has acquired over 10 years of experience in public relations at Tourism Canada. Prior to
that, Mekli completed a post graduate in public relations at Mohawk College in Hamilton,
Ontario. Preceding her post graduate program, she completed a three year Political Science
Bachelors of Arts degree at Western University in London, Ontario.

As the new CCO, Mekli, will be responsible for all promotional content of Eurail. She will
undertake the primary responsibility of all social media platforms: business blog, YouTube

channel, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. As well, she will head all events and
campaigns. Mekli, will be located primarily at our head office in Utrecht, however, she will be
required to frequent our other sites in Ireland, Singapore and the United States of America. The
major attraction of this new position, is the amount of travel I get to do. I love seeing new places
and trying new things, said Mekli.
