My Philosophy

Our Mission

Frederick Douglas once stated, It is

easier to repair strong children than to repair
broken men. Children, resembles flowers. They
need to be nurtured, watered, and well-tended
so they can blossom into beautiful adults. In my
classroom children are welcome. I ensure all
have a secure sense of belonging in our learning
environment. When a child becomes comfortable in a learning environment they are able to
fully engage. In my classroom, I promote social
skills. I believe children learn through play.
Through play, communication skills and physical
development are enhanced. Daily routines offer
structure and build a sense of consistency for
children. In my classroom, our schedule offers a
balance of work and play to allow children to
learn and explore in a variety of ways based on
their individual interest.

Our mission is to provide children with appropriate curriculum and services to develop the
whole child .

I strive to create a classroom environment that promotes an excitement for learning. I

feel this begins with establishing a caring connection between teacher and child. Every time I
entered my fourth grade classroom and saw my
teacher, Mrs. Andrews, I was excited to learn.
She made the classroom fun and always kept
me and my peers engaged. I am motivated by
her ability to inspire people. Mrs. Andrews has
impacted my role as a teacher. I aspire to do the
same for the children I teach and leave a mark in
their lives as they proceed on their educational
journey.
