Reflection for Unit 1

In this assignment, I found some challenges. The most difficult one was to find
the drawbacks of the article, because the article I found is written by a professional
and outstanding writer and the article itself is indeed really good. In order to criticize
the article, I read it again and again, and tried to find the flaw from logic, evidence
and design. Fortunately, I found the author has an incited data and boring design.
Furthermore, I also felt difficult to sequence different elements in different paragraphs,
because I took a long time to find out their connections. In addition, I had no idea
about writing the transitions between paragraphs and paragraphs. Therefore, in my
first draft, I rarely had transitions
However, with my classmates and professor's assistance, when I revise my first
draft, I had some new ideas. I follow my professor's suggestion on the order of
paragraphs, I rearranged the order of elements, and finally found the orders meet logic.
From my classmate's draft, I learned how to write the transition and strong ending. In
my final draft, I use questions to connect paragraphs and make a conclusion in my
ending, Moreover, thanks to my peer reviews, I revised my grammatical mistakes and
be careful about the citation.
From this assignment, I learned something that I never learn before. The most
surprising outcome is I practice critical reading strategies. I not only just read and
make the summary, but also think and find the flaw of it. Also, when I cite the
quotation, I not only prove what I write before, but also further analysis it. Further,

this is the first time for me to combine the author and journal to analysis the audience
and rhetorical analysis. I didn't limit myself in the article itself. In this article, I uses a
lot of question to be the transitions. Although it's boring to always show up, it's indeed
a strategy. Overall, I feel satisfied with my learning outcome.
