ABSTRACT

The main principle of our project is to study and manage the existing present
traffic and transportation problems by considering the traffic volume in
Bhongiri town
In order to find out the traffic problems we are going to carry out land
survey of particular area in bhongir town in which length and width of the road
is considered by using measuring tape.
The next sequential step involved in the project is Traffic surveying. It is
done in order to determine the passage of number of vehicles per day by using
a manual method or by mechanical method (using digital camera).
In the second phase the number of PCU values are also noted so that it
makes a clear sense of traffic issues can be finded out.
In the third step the problems facing in turnings and accident prone areas are
to revised for a measurement and solutions are explained.
The main part of our project Traffic signaling is given a conclusion with the
help of literature survey and also by following some of the IRC codes.
The code IRC:SP:43-1994 deals with the Guidelines on Low-Cost
Traffic Management Technique for Urban areas.
