Dr. Peercy: obesity among New Mexicans has become a major problem. In this proposal, he will expand more on a project that will allow children to learn to grow and prepare fruits and vegetables on school grounds. He hopes that you will see how much this project could change the lives of children across Albuquerque and allow them to see the benefits of growing a better future for themselves and others.

Peercy 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87110 Dear Dr. David Peercy, I present to you, President of the Albuquerque Public School System, we at the New Mexico Department of Health an union dedicated to pursuing good health and wellness among New Mexicans. We have several different departments within our branch including, the Public Health Division, Division of Health Improvement, etc. Our health care system provides New Mexicans different services such as, Primary and Rural health care, school-based health centers, Emergency Medical Services, and Vital Records and Health Statistics. Within our state, obesity among New Mexicans has become a major problem over the past several years. This can be seen especially among students and young children. Statistics have shown a rise in children obesity in the past five years. In this proposal, I will expand more on a project that will allow children to learn to grow and prepare fruits and vegetables that were grown on school grounds. I hope that you will see how much this project could change the lives of children across Albuquerque and allow them to see the benefits of growing a better future for themselves and the world. Thank you, Haley Lambert 1190 S. St. Francis Drive Santa Fe, NM 87505 (505) 538-4398
