Early Learning Expectation: Movement and Dance. Children show how they feel, what they
think, and what they are learning through movement and dance experiences.
Objectives: Through these learning activities, children will be able to:
Children will be able move their bodies in order to act like a flower in the wind.

Teaching Strategy
Guided Practice
Introduction/ Set induction
Have a dance made up as if each of the children were a flower.
Then have music/sing music in order for them to dance like flowers.
Instructional Activities
Say to the children, Can we dance and move around the classroom together?
Incidental Activities
Children just run around the classroom and dont listen to the music.
Children dont dance as if they were a flower.
Children sit where they are because they dont want to dance.
Conclusion/Closure
We only have a few more minutes, how about we sing the song and dance one more time?
Transitional Activities
Lets dance like flowers as we go back to our seats so we can move to small group time.
