Your student is to complete a cultural anthropology research project. The
requirements are: Create a poster board (No bigger than 12X14) o Image of the country (printout of the map is fine). o Historical image (picture of the past) and a Present image of the same topic. For example, how communities changed, clothing, transportation, food/farming, etc. Be creative! o Historical event image o Image(s) showing most common religion and at least one celebration (try to make it a different one from what we celebrate). o Images showing a common form of art (dance, theater, visual, craftsmanship, etc.) o Images showing common food(s) or meals. The report itself must go along with the images on the poster board and should include the following: o Describe where is the country located? What other countries is it by? o How has the country changed over time? Use the examples you chose for the historical images. o Describe a historical event o When did it happen? o Why did it happen? o What was the end result? o What is the main religion in the country today? Has it always been that religion? If not, what did it used to be and why did it change? o Describe an event the country celebrates. o When do they celebrate it? o Why do they celebrate it? o Try to make it a celebration we do not have. o Describe what the arts are like there and how they are different from the arts here. o What foods do they eat that are different from ours. Bring an example to share with the class. There are 26 students and 1 teacher to share with.
