To Whom It May Concern:

Over the past six months, I have had the pleasure of being Intern Coach and Mentor
to Ashley Chatelain as she has worked as a university intern at our school in third
grade.
Ashley came in with a lot of enthusiasm and energy for this role and has maintained
this course continually. In the classroom for the first time, she was handed a difficult
assignment many of her students came with specific behavioral challenges; they
needed a patient and persistent teacher. Ashley has been proactive in seeking out
the help she has needed to tackle these challenges effectively, with care and
consideration for all her students.
I have been impressed, also, with Ashleys reception to guidance and advice from
me and from her working colleagues. She takes it to heart and puts into practice
suggestions given to see if they will benefit her class. That willingness to learn
early in her career will serve well.
In addition, Ashley has shown an adeptness at quickly learning the various software
programs required of her job with respect to record keeping, testing, and data
analysis all of which she uses, in cooperation with her team, for the purpose of
driving her instruction and improving student growth. I believe Mrs. Chatelain
would be a welcome addition to any teaching team.
