a) Theme: Wisdom
b) Reading: Proverbs 20: 5, 15 (NABRE); 5The intention of the human heart is deep water,
but the intelligent draw it fourth. 15One can but on gold and abundant jewels, but wise lips
are the most precious ornament.
c) Reflection:
Proverbs 20:5 translates that the reason that the human heart has so many parts to
it is so that God can test the wisdom that comes forth. Proverbs 20:15 compares
the wisdom that one should have to being more precious than any gold or
abundance of jewels. Wisdom can be greater than any appearance shown to
others. A person that has self-control and self-awareness of the situation around
them shows more power than a person with an abundance of wealth. When one
knows how to obtain self-control and self-awareness over the situation others will
respect them and their opinions more. It also shows a great deal of maturity.

d) Prayer
Lord, I graciously ask for you to fill me with wisdom,

You know of every decision that I make,

You know of every obstacle I face,
You know of my struggles and my weaknesses.
Please forgive me for my unkind words and actions.
Grant me the ability to be aware of my actions and my words,
Grant me the ability to have your wisdom in my words,
Give me strength to do what is right
Amen.
