Ihave known Tara for nearly three years. She and I have worked together at Executive Education Academy Charter School from 2014 until now. As @ Lead Teacher and then the Director of ‘Admissions I have been engaged with students in a variety of roles some of which took me into the classroom. On many of those occasions the classroom | worked in was Tara's. This situation arose ‘because, despite the fact that it was outside of her job description, Tara has always taken it upon herself to Rt involved in-a variety of aspects of die education and enrichment of her students. In addition fo the fact that she maintains an excellent leaming environment, for the reasons I have outlined, Tara has both respect and rapport with all of her students Asa teacher Tara is extremely ereative and resourceful, making the most of her limited teacher's ‘budget in order to engage her students in both standard and novel leaming activities. In addition she possesses the innate personality attributes necessary for connecting with the young people she serves on a Ievel conducive to motivating them. In addition to her skill working with students Tara is a high level thinker with respect to her trade. She has developed some of the curriculum for her department. Tara is precisely the type of teacher who should be involved in as many facets of education as her considerable capacity will allow. Tara's background is as an Special Education and Math teacher. Her edveation and experience, in an urban setting, provides her an excellent academic and experiential foundation from which to launch into working with students at your institution. While Ido not doubt that there are many candidates forthe ‘open position Tara has applied for, I do doubt that any of them can match the combination of education, youthful energy, high level experience in a very challenging setting, and professionalism that she can ‘bring to your team.
