This is a journal entry about the material handling in the manufacturing industries. The chapters that are dealing with the material handling are chapter ten and eleven. There are totally four groups of material handling equipment they are fixed path, fixed area, variable area, auxiliary tools. There are different ways of loading the stocks into the trucks while shipping the finished goods to the customers. Companies usually use a special kind of lifting and moving using a special kind of two wheelers and four wheelers. Fork trucks, telescopic conveyor, weigh scales are the special moving equipment. Most of the times in the finished goods are being rejected or sent back to the manufacturer due to the poor maintenance or the damage that had occurred during the transportation of the goods to the consumers. The storage containers play a key role in defining or maintaining the goods include drop bottom tubs, shop containers, tilt stands, tubs and baskets. The workstation material handling devices include vibratory feeders, walking beams, ball tables, robots, waste disposal. The most famous and well known mobile fabrication equipment includes slides and chutes which is the most convenient and very easy and fast moving way of pushing the goods to the different places inside the manufacturing firm or company. Lift conveyors, adjustable conveyors, screw conveyors, vibratory conveyors, and power hand trucks. The pack out containers include pick and place robots, banding, and box formers. Bulk material handling is referred to the scenario where more than one kind of material is being handled at a time. Troughed belt conveyor, screw conveyors, vacuum delivery systems. Computer integrated material handling systems reduces warehouse material costs, improved productivity, reduce handling and labor costs, more efficient flow of material.
