Dear Mrs. Jansen,

My name is Juan Daniel Garcia and Im going to be helping and learning skills
as a teacher at Simon Middle School. I have spent all my 22 years of my life living in
Austin, Texas where I was born. My teaching area is going to be Mathematics, and I
hope to teach around the field of algebra 1.
I want to teach in middle school because I work better with better with
adolescents that are still growing maturely, and mentally so they wont be rebellious
to learning more new material unlike matured high school students. I chose
mathematic because it my favorite subject when I was school, and I feel confident in
my skills towards this subject. I want to be able to help and students as best I can.
I have always loved entertaining and learning with the younger students, and
they get along well with me. When I was tutoring in Travis high school, I got along
with all of the students even though most of them looked older than me. I believe
the younger middle school students shall be more inclined to listen to since I will
look older than them, and it helps me communicate with them knowing that they
see me as an adult. I do hope to learn strategies that may help me in teaching and
getting the material to the student. I hope to use every day as a new opportunity to
learn more about the students style of learning, and whether my style of teaching
needs improvement or changes.
