Asa University supervisor, I made classroom visits during Miss Lauren Flot’s successful Fall semester of Student
‘Teaching at Seven Mile Elementary School in Trenton, Ohio. These visitations included formal and informal
‘observations and evaluations, working closely with her cooperating teacher in planning an appropriate program of
experience, and contributions to final evaluations.
Lauren has a very positive, professional attitude toward teaching and her students. She developed a strong rapport
‘withthe students all while capitalizing on the diversity of the learners in her inclusive elassroom. She was aware of|
‘the many factors that were present in her classroom such as behavior, culture, and ability that impact learning. In
‘um, she used these differences to provide a positive environment that was rich in instruction and accommodated all
leamers. She demonstrated an exemplary level for creating and implementing learning activities that were
appropriate. Her students responded wel to her gentle firm manner and patience. She managed a very positive
classroom conducive to pupil learning and fairness. Throughout her placement, she showed improvement and as
result, established and maintained excellent standards of classroom behavior. She incorporated a variety of
instructional materials, technology, learning activities, and teaching methods that motivated and engaged all
students. She was successful in encouraging them to extend their thinking. She monitored and assisted their
understanding of content through a variety of means. She reflected on her lessons, provided feedback, or adjusted
activities to asist in their leaning as needed. Her commitment to all students and teaching were outstanding. She had
‘complete and detailed lesson plans. She responded positively to professional feedback from me. In tur, she
successfully implemented these suggestions in future lessons. She maintained well-organized routines.
Lauren is a mature, dedicated professional. She established excellent relationships with the administration, grade
level teachers, support staff, and faculty. She attended faculty mectings, in-services, seminars, and parent-teacher
conferences. She demonstrated proper conduct asa professional. She had excellent attendance and a strong work
