Dear Ms. Arnsberg,
As an ROP student, being presented with the chance to work in the Family Birthing Center will
tremendously influence my future career in the medical field. Although, being an ROP gives me
many learning experiences, I believe this will truly give me the work experience I need in order
to become a successful nurse. This job will help me experience what it takes to be successful in
the medical field and bring me one step closer to pursuing a career as a labor and delivery
nurse.
This job would be an amazing opportunity and experience in order to guide me into the right
path because it would help give me the practice I need. I feel that working with staff that are
experienced and know exactly the position I am in, would greatly improve my knowledge. Being
a student, I am currently taking a college level course, ROP Medical Technologies, in which gives
me the important skills needed to work in a medical facility. I am also taking another college
level class, Anatomy, which gives me more medical experience as well. I have been trained and
certified in vital signs, Blood Borne Pathogens, HIPAA, OSHA, First Aid, and CPR. I am also
bilingual, I speak both English and Spanish. I have experience using Google Drive, Microsoft
Word, Office, and Excel. I am a very driven student who aims to learn while working under
supervision and guidance.
