I started my project by first working on a title to introduce it. I picked a layout that would
hopefully be eye catching and aesthetically pleasing to look at. Afterwards I began to research
my first candidate for the project. I chose Amandla Stenberg. She is a good candidate to not only
represent minority but also the LGBTQ people. Once I finished researching her, I began to work
on the page that would tell more of why she is an influential person. I spent a good amount of
time figuring out how to organize the page to make it look nice. Then after a long time debating
on how to organize the page I finally found something that I liked the look of.
Attached are pictures of the cover of the project and the first page of it. The picture on the left is
of the Amandla page and the left is of the cover page.

Today, I worked on finding the next two people for my project. Since my project is on celebrities
that influence, I remembered Beyonc and her will to protest against the unfairness happening in
Ferguson. After all that research I began to find the picture that I would need and began
organizing the page as I saw fit. Once I was happy with how Beyoncs page came out, I began
looking for another celebrity. Jaden Smith was an obvious choice because he is probably one of
the youngest men to not only be a rapper but also be gender fluid. Deciding on Jadens page was
something I found difficult because I didnt want to repeat what I had done for Beyonc.
However, after several failed attempts at a different layout I eventually settled for one that
looked like Beyoncs.
Attached are pictures of the finished pages for Beyonc and Jaden. The picture on the left is of
Jaden and the picture on the right is of Beyonc.

Today I focused on finding the fourth and fifth people for the project. I spent time googling
things such as Most Influential LGBTQ Celebrities to see who I could incorporate into my
project. On one of the lists that I found I noticed that Jane Lynch was on it. She stood out to me
amongst all the others because she not only dealt with her sexuality but also a major alcohol
abuse and she managed to overcome both. I decided to use a rather simple page layout for her as
I felt like it would go better with the fact that she is a mature woman. The next person that I
found after intensive searching is Jazz Jennings. Once I read what she has gone through and all
that she has done for the transsexual community I knew she would be a good person so add.
Since the picture that I had chosen for her had a pink background I decided to make a page
layout for her using that shade of pink.
The pictures attached are the finished pages of Jane Lynch and Jazz Jennings. Lynchs page is on
the left and Jenningss page is on the right.

For the next two people, I chose were both women with different backgrounds. I chose Zendaya
because Ive seen her involvement in speaking out against racism and culture appropriation
within our society. The picture that I choose for Zendaya was the inspiration for the layout of the
page. Since the photo was black and white I decided to make the layout simple and classy.
Finding the next person for this project was a little harder but eventually I found out about
Laverne Cox. I chose her because not only is she trans but she has set so many firsts for the trans
community its hard to not see them. I chose again to do a simple layout since its simple but
looks really good with what I am doing.
The pictures attached are the completed pages for Zendaya and Laverne Cox. Zendayas page is
on the left while Laverne Cox is on the right side.

For the final two people for my project I decided to focus more on finding Hispanic celebrities
who have done great things. Finding Hispanic celebrities who were active was hard since the
immediate Hispanic celebrities that I know havent done much outside of what they are used to.
Both Hispanic celebrities that I chose are somewhat well known outside of just Spanish TV
shows and movies. I chose Ricky Martin because of all the charity work that hes done but also
because he overcame his struggle with being heavily closeted. I decided to do something a bit
more artistic for Ricky Martins page. The addition was simple since all I did was added color
behind the black text box and picture but it adds a lot to it. The next celebrity that I chose was
Eugenio Derbez. I chose him due to how successful he was with his movie Instructions Not
Included in the U.S, where it wasnt expected to do as well as Mexico. I decided to keep the
layout of the page simple with some added color.
The attached images are of their finished pages. Ricky Martins page is on the right and Eugenio
Derbezs page is on the left.
