On Thursday, April 30th, the SCCS Board hosted a town hall meeting in the

CCHS auditorium to present the Our Legacy Their Future capital campaign and
a proposed sale of a 2.25 acre portion of the Oak Lawn campus. The presenters
were Dr. Richard DeJong, Vice President of the Board and Chair of the campaign
and Mr. Frank Voss, Sr. who serves on the Capital Campaign Steering
Committee. After the presentations, participants engaged in a question and
answer session.
Our Legacy Their Future includes projects on each campus, including right
sizing the Oak Lawn campus and renovations at Christian High. It also features
capital funds for technology and STEM education. The total campaign goal is
$3,725,000.
The proposal for selling 2.25 acres to Anthem Memory Care for $1,375,000 will
be considered at the annual Association meeting on May 26, 2015. Absentee
ballots are also available at the Association Office.
The SCCS leadership is excited about both opportunities and believes that
these initiatives will move our school system forward in a great direction.

Our Legacy. Their Future.
