Australias Changing Face

Lesson Plan - Three

Name of Lesson: How do others celebrate?
Learning intention: Students will reflect on the celebrations of Australia
and other countries
Why have I chosen to implement this experience? This experience is
designed to help students express their thoughts and feelings toward
celebrations and how every family celebrate it differently. Understanding the
importance of celebrations and the reasons behind them. It is important that
students understand the relationship and similarities between the
celebrations of their country compared to others. This realisation that
students have when discovering similarities between how they celebrate
compared to other countries helps create a sense of pride for their country,
and help form a connection to a culture or people they may not have made
otherwise. Exploring diversity in stills in children an awareness and respect
