Comment 1 |

Genre

good, straightf orward introduction. I encourage you to work on being a bit more succinct in the
f uture

Comment 2

Analysis

interesting! What does this mean? And how is the representative of the academic discourse and
how it understands itself as a discourse?
PAGE 2

Comment 3 |

Analysis

good--specif ic evidence of the kinds of discourses you learned in this class would be helpf ul.
What was the methodology, f or example?

Comment 4

Genre

this is f ine, but a deeper analysis of what it means to be "global interpreteres of human
interaction" is necessary. T hat phrase seems very vague and somewhat empty to an outsider
so explain how these concepts help to def ine the discourse community of communication in
academia.
PAGE 3

Comment 5

Analysis

good evidence here, but even more analysis of the language is necessary

Comment 6

how so? in what way?

PAGE 4

Comment 7 |

Analysis

good observation here--what kinds of tabs are there on the website? What do you need to
know to be able to navgate it? What does this tab tell you about the discourse community of
hte prof ession?

Comment 8

Genre

is this representative of the prof ession, do you think?

PAGE 5

Comment 9
great!

Comment 10

Analysis

ok, so what kinds of language knowledge did you have to have to do this job?

Comment 11 |

Analysis

You make some important observations about globalization both of these sites and you
choose interesting representations, but I'm not sure you really go into a deep analysis of the
language used and the discourse community of each.
