M&M M&M stands for Mustang Mentorship. It is a program that is designed to help students reach success with the assistance of their peers. Middle school can be challenging academically and socially. Its always great to have a helping hand from other students who have recently gone through the same things. The program is tailored for eighth grade and sixth grade students. Eighth grade students will be trained mentors to the sixth grade students just arriving to middle school. FAQ: 1. Does it cost any money to be a part of the program? No cost *There is an optional leadership trip to Washington D.C. that will cost money. Details will be provided. 2. How many mentees will each mentor have? Each mentor will have 2 sixth grade mentees. 3. Do students choose their mentees? The counselors will match mentors and mentees based on gender and interests. 4. Are students required to do any afterschool activities with their mentees? No required afterschool activities. 5. When does this start? Next school year, but we will have two meetings before August 2016 6. Do students need to apply?
Yes, please pick up an application in the front office. There
will also be an interview scheduled for the applicants. Only current 7th graders can apply.
