Writing Prompt 9 Faith Dumais UWRT 1102 Lynn Raymond 3/30/2016I decided to have a conversation with my younger sister, Hailey Dumais, about UNC Charlotte. She is a current junior at Porter Ridge High School and is currently in the middle of her college search. I thought that looking at UNC Charlotte from someone who is still deciding Posy FARE ‘where she wants to attend college would be an interesting point of view to look at for my multi modal project. 1 thought it would be interesting to see what someone who is not a student likes and dislikes about UNC Charlotte. It may not coincide with the audience we will be presenting to, because they will all be current students, but | think it’s very important to look at one topic from many points of view in order to produce the most well rounded presentation. During our conversation, Hailey expressed some things she likes about UNC Charlotte e and other things that she does not necessarily like or things that are not really her taste. She enjoys that fact that UNC Chastotte does have a good ammount of school spirit and‘ * iV many events to attend, while at the same time having many other things to do on campus besides sports. She also enjoys the fact that UNC Charlotte offers programs in biology and environmental science. These are the areas she is interested in pursuing in college and beyond. ‘To go along with this, she likes the fact that UNC Charlotte has its own greenhouse on campus. She still hopes to get the chance to tour the greenhouse, whether she attends UNC Charlotte or not. She also expressed that she does not like the fact that there are so many students who attend UNC Charlotte. She believes that the campus and student body may be too big for her. ‘She would prefer a smaller and more intimate student body.1 found that many of the things she liked and disliked are very similar to students who actually attend UNC Charlotte. Many people attend sporting events and I know multiple biology majors. In addition, many students dislike the amount of construction found on campus, which is due to the growing student population, Overall, Iam very glad I was able to gain a different, yet similar, perspective on UNC Charlotte,
