April 11, 2016 To Whom It May Concern: Itis with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Elinor Hannum. She was student teacher in a third grade classroom at Dimondale Elementary School. It has been very encouraging and reassuring to have Elinor in my building because of her wide variety of Knowledge and rapport with students. She also provides a positive, respectful atmosphere for students to learn Elinor is a conscientious, hard working, and self-motivated professional. She is willing to take on additional responsibilities and can be expected to excel in any situation. Elinor is eager to improve her skills as a professional and is always looking for opportunities to do so. Elinor took the initiative during her time at Dimondale and would take care of tasks without being asked to do so. She participated in staff meetings, conferences, professional development, and anything else that the full-time teachers had to do. On top of this, she organized the reading month theme ‘and activities for the entire school for the month of March along with other interns. Elinor definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. She is friendly and positive in the classroom and maintains clear expectations of student behavior and work. Elinor wears her heart on her sleeve and that is evident in her teaching. I had the opportunity to watch her teach, and I was impressed with her control of the classroom and her delivery of the curriculum. Elinor is confident in her abilities and the students respond to her. Elinor works well with students, parents, and staff and she is also an effective communicator. She is dedicated to the teaching profession and this is evident in her attitude and work ethic. Elinor continually shows up early and stays late to make sure she provides the best opportunities for the kids. T feel that in any endeavor she pursues, Elinor will do whatever it takes to be a positive influence for kids and benefit the organization that employs her.
