I am writing this letter of support for Melissa Suriano. I have known Melissa for the
past 3 years and she has remained a close family friend during this time. Having
had the opportunity to interact with Melissa both personally and professionally, I
feel I can offer and excellent perspective and insight into Melissas character and
abilities. It is with enthusiasm that I recommend Melissa Suriano for the Physical
Therapy program at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
Melissa Suriano is, without question, the hardest working younger adult I have met
in many years. When I first met Melissa, she was attending Cumberland County
College pursing her education, while at the same time, working part-time and
participating in lifelong interests including dance and martial arts. She is highly
motivated, focused and has developed a high degree of discipline and work ethic
through her many years of dance and martial arts. Melissa is extremely reliable,
always eager to learn and take on new challenges and adapts well in new
environments.
Along with her excellent work ethic and numerous interests, Melissa has also
volunteered her time and energy. Melissa recognizes and understands the
importance of giving back to the surrounding community. As a social worker for
hospice, I was able to recommend Melissa to Spring Oak Assisted Living community
as a volunteer. During her time at Spring Oak, Melissa was able to interact and
spend quality time with the elder population and exhibited excellent interpersonal
skills. Melissa always maintained a very positive, professional attitude and
consistently promoted dignity and respect among the residents. She demonstrated
the importance of developing relationships and showed impressive engagement
skills.
It is my honor and privilege to be able to support Melissa Suriano in her future
educational endeavors and contributions in the Physical Therapy field of study.
Melissa will prove to be a great asset within your program. The combination of her
determination, excellent work ethic and sense of responsibility and enthusiasm are
