Reflection of Unit 2

My job in our group is to find examples and pictures for our presentation. I
find Hemingways A Moveable Feast and Hellen Kellers The Story of My Life
for the reliable sources. And also, I find five famous pictures for the activity at the
beginning of our presentation to recall our common memory. In addition, I find a
connecting story to keep audience focus.
In the process of our group work, I always try to come up some structive idea
and help them build the structure of our presentation. Also, it is good and helpful to
communicate with my group members to work out a better idea. After, I come up a
idea and get accepted by our group, I spent lots of time to research. because memoirs
are usually long, I cannot read them all. Therefore, I pick some famous paragraphs to
be my examples. We also find some academic sources in NU Libaray. However, due
to the information that we want to contatin, we only use those appropriate ones. After
the first draft, we get helped a lot from other groups. They give us many good
suggestions and new ideas. We improve by adding more examples and making the
structure more reasonable for the final draft.
From this unit, I do not only learn how to write a memoir or other genres of
article, but also I learn how to do group work and research. Research does not only
make you sound more reliable, but also make the audience know what are you talking
about intuitively. It is a good practice for my group work and speaking skills as well.
