Using Volumetric Method in Calculating Amount of Hidrocarbon of

Limestone Reservoir.
Abstract
To take oil reserves in a reservoir, we have to take some datas of amount of hydrocarbons
which are in a reservoir. And to determine the amount of hydrocarbons which are several methods
commonly used by reservoir engineers. There are analogy method, material balance method,
volumetric method, Decline curve, and reservoir simulation .
These methods use parameters that are not available when core analysis was doing, except
volumetric method. As an analogy method using field and well data which have been produced
before. Then, there is the material balance method using more complex datas than the others, is like
pressure data, production, fluid and rock types. And other methods rely on other methods such as,
reservoir simulation method that uses data from the material balance method.
To get a quick estimate of the amount of hydrocarbons and more pracatical, Volumetric
method using only reservoir data, as in this paper, researchers take a core sample to estimate the
amount of hydrocarbons that can be found in a sample of limestone rock. Obtained from the core
analysis porosity and saturation data, therefore we can use the volumetric method. And also from this
core analysis, is obtained permeability and acid solubility. As we know that permeability which relates
to Swi , Sor and porosity. And acid solubility to be used as data when is done to inject of acid into
reservoir
reservoir. Untuk memperkirakan jumlah hidrokarbon digunakan beberapa metode, yaitu metode
analogim metode material balancem metode volumetrik, decline curve dan stimulasi reservoir.
