Open Discussions- during the open discussions I will evaluate as


to what children know and what they have learned from our
readings, videos, and lecture. Students will also view and analyze
a picture of a rural area and fill in the chart, which will be turned
in for a graded assignment.
a. Accommodation- Larger print on the chart they will fill out,
and pencil gripper for writing utensils.
2. Poster- Students will create a poster board in which they have
created their own community, that remind them of their home
community. Students will cut our images from magazines to
create their community and then they will share with the class
what community they have created and what makes their
community rural, suburban, or urban.
a. Accommodation: Grippers on scissors for easier cutting.
3. Items- Bring two items from home that represent one of the
three communities. Share with the class what is it, what
community you would see this item in, and also tell the class
what community you would like to live in.
a. Accommodation: ipad to type their responses while it reads
allowed what the student is typing.
4. Worksheet- Students will analyze two pictures and then fill out
the chart at the top of the worksheet with a partner. Students will
then independently answer the questions at the bottom of the
worksheet in to be graded.
