Tower
Materials: dry pasta noodles, one
marshmallow, and 4 pieces of tape
Preparation: Start building a tower
Try to build as high as you can without it
breaking or falling

Human Body
Materials: newsprint, markers, tape
Preparation: Trace an outline of the human body on newsprint.
List the following
topics outside the outline next to the coordinating body part:
Head: dreams or goals we have (for our community)
Ears: things we like to listen to
Eyes: How we like other people to see us
Shoulders: problems young people may have to face.
Hands: things we like to make or do (with our hands)
Stomach: things we like to eat
Heart: things we feel strongly about
Right foot: places we would like to go

Directions:
Post outline of body on the wall. Invite participants to come up to the
poster and write things or pictures to represent each area for them.
This is done graffiti style, free form.
After everyone has had a chance to participate, ask for volunteers to
report to the group on what is listed.
Discuss:
What are common interests?
Shared goals?
Dreams?
Were there any themes?
What are the things we feel strongly about?
How do these relate to our groups work?

Balloon and a Spoon


Materials: Balloons for each group, a spoon for each
group
Preparation: Have each group stand in a straight line give
the first person ,in the line, the balloon
THE BALLOON CAN NOT TOUCH THE FLOOR
EACH PERSON MUST TOUCH THE BALLOON
Tell them to start by trying to get to end of the line and
back by hitting the balloon with their hands (easy)
Then using your knee get it to end and back
The last one is using your knee get to the end and back
using their heads (like in soccer)

CHALLENGE: get the balloon the end and back
