David Dinardo student taught during the 2015-16 school year. In the fall, he taught elementary physical education at Horizon Community Learning Center in Phoenix, Arizona. This spring, David is teaching physical education at San Tan Junior High School in Chandler, Arizona. I was his college supervisor for his elementary experience and had the opportunity to observe his teaching on several different occasions. Davids lessons were always well thought out and planned and this careful planning assisted him in preventing classroom disruptions that often occur from a lack of organization. David spent time getting to know his students. This was important, as he taught them every day. He consistently called them by name and then added specific positive feedback. By getting to know his students, he was able to develop a positive relationship with them that assisted him in having a successful elementary student teaching experience. Throughout his lessons, David could be seen interacting with his students, giving praise and reinforcement, as well as helping them with a specific skill or activity. His students liked him and respected him. David always conducted himself in a very professional manner and got along well with staff and parents. He was punctual and dependable. He was not afraid to ask for help and assistance. David always accepted my feedback and implemented any of my ideas or suggestions. During my observations, David always provided his students with a variety of activities. He constantly moved throughout the teaching area and was always providing assistance and encouragement along the way. He strived daily to do the best job he could and really took his student teaching experience seriously. David was involved in many school-wide activities. He spent more time at the school than was required. He was not afraid to do anything he could to help out and benefit his students. He was totally committed to this experience and went beyond what anyone would expect from a student teacher. I would strongly recommend that David Dinardo be given an opportunity to interview for any position to which he is qualified. Should you have any questions or concerns about Davids ability to teach for your school or district, feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Reid Wilcox Reid R.
