INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING

Individualized learning, or individualized instruction, is a method of teaching

in which content, instructional technology, and pace of learning are based
upon the abilities and interest of each learner. Source: Dreambox.com
The individualized learning approach initially included any teaching
strategies that met individual students needs, but in practice it describes
students working through set materials or curricula at their own rates.
With individualized instruction, learning strategies are based on student
readiness, learning styles, interests and best practices. All of this is designed
to help specific student master the skills he/she will need as defined by
established academic standards in Individual Education Plan (IEP). It quickly
becomes remedial interventions which are targeted and specific.
