Duringtimesofwar,peopleofmanyreligionsareaffectedbythehorrorstrickenevents
thattakeplace,causingmanytolosefaith,family,andinnocence.
Throughouthistory,many
peoplehavelostthings,people,andreligioninthefaceofthewar.Describingthewayeach
lossaffectedpeople,manyhadsufferedsimilarpain.
Inthenovella,Night,byElieWiesel,hehaddescribedthewaypeopleandalsohimself,
feltaboutgodandtheirreligionafterawhileifbeingintheconcentrationcamp.
ElieWieseldescribesinthequote,MyeyeswereopenandIwasaloneterriblyaloneinaworld
withoutGodandwithoutman(Wiesel,75)ashefeltaloneinthecamp.

god.ThishelpsreadersandothersunderstandtherealitythatmanyJewshadlosttheirfaith

them.

Asthenovellaprogresses,Wieseldescribesthewayhefeelsaboutthereligionhewas
borninto.AsaJewishbornchild,hewasabletodescribethewaynotonlyhowhefelt,buthow
otherslikehimfelt.

God,ifhecouldhavebeenseenaproofofGodinthisCalvary,hewouldnothavebeentaken
bythisselection(Wiesel,83)hedescribeshowhethinksanotherpersonfeelsabouttheirfaith.
However,inthefaceofdeath,Wieselbelievesthatifyoubelieveingodalittlelonger,thenyou
mightbesaved.
InKhachigYazujiansarticle,hedescribeshowhehadsufferedthroughthepainof
losinghisfamilyduringtheArmenianGenocide,causingnotonlyhimpain,butthedreadful

remembranceofhisdearlydeparted.

werekilledbyTurks&Kurds(TheKhachigYazujianStory)whichdescribesthefamilythathe
hadlostduringthegenocide.

Hehadalsomentionedthepainheandhisfamilyhadsuffered
throughoutWorldWar2,whenbothhissonsdiedinthefaceofwar.Theyhaddiedamonth
apartfromeachotherin1949.

Thisdemonstrateshowanyonecanlosefamily.Throughouthisarticle,hehad
talkedabouttopicsfromlosinghisbrothersandsisters,tolosinghissons.Thiscanhelppeople
understandthetragedymanyhadfacedbylosingfamilyduringwarandgenocides.
