My name is Katey McIntyre, and I am going to be completing my student
teaching in Mrs. Wells classroom this semester. I am extremely excited to be working with your child for the next four weeks. I hope I get to know each of you as the year goes on, but first, I thought I would tell you a little about myself. I am currently earning my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Judson College. It is through my work at Judson that I completed over two hundred field experience hours in local schools in order to prepare myself for the fulfilling profession of teaching. I completed the first portion of my student teaching in Mrs. Turners kindergarten classroom. I spent ten weeks with her and her students. During that time, I taught many lessons, provided reading and mathematics intervention to the students, and assumed all teaching responsibilites for two weeks. During the next four weeks, I will have the opportunity to work daily in Mrs. Wells class. I will shadow her, teach lessons, work with students, and learn more about the teaching profession. I am so grateful that you are allowing me to be a part of your childs learning. I love teaching. I love to see students succeed, and I cant wait to see what this journey has in store for us! I am looking forward to a great year with you and your child as we continue to create a love for learning that will last a lifetime! Sincerely, Miss Katey McIntyre Judson College Student Teacher
