About the Patch Remain Function

Check the version


The Patch Remain function was improved in JUNO-Di version 1.12. If the version is earlier than 1.12, download the update from the support page
(http://www.roland.com/support/) g Downloads g product name (JUNO-Di) g JUNO-Di System Program Version 1.12, and update your
JUNO-Di.
* If this supplementary manual was included with a new JUNO-Di you purchased, your instrument has already been updated to version 1.12 or
later; you do not need to update.
How to check the version
Select the [MENU] button g VERSION INFO.

What is the Patch Remain Function?


If you turn on the Patch Remain function, the currently-playing notes will no longer be interrupted when you switch sounds (Patches or Performances).

Setting Procedure
To set the Patch Remain function, go to [MENU] button g SYSTEM g SOUND, and edit the newly added Patch Remain parameter.

Patch Remain

OFF, ON

Specifies whether currently sounding notes will continue sounding when another sound (Patch or Performance) is selected (ON), or not
(OFF).

* Immediately after you update the JUNO-Di to version 1.12, the Patch Remain parameter will be turned off. If you want to use the Patch Remain
function, turn on the Patch Remain parameter.
* For details on operations in the SYSTEM settings, refer to JUNO-Di Owners Manual Procedure for Making System Settings (p. 75).

Limitations of the Patch Remain function


* When you switch sounds, the currently-playing notes will be heard with the effect settings of the next-selected sound. This means that depending
on the effect settings, the currently-playing notes might be heard differently, or the sound might be interrupted.
* The notes will be interrupted when you switch from a Patch to a Performance or vice versa.
