Transmission
Definition: "Any transmission, emission or reception of signs, signals, writings,
images and sounds or intelligence of any nature by wire, radio, optical or other
electromagnetic systems."
Modern devices rely upon radio and electromagnetic waves to communicate
between one another. These waves are picked-up by cell towers, radio antenna,
and satellites where it is then pinged out to its intended destination.

Permit Requirements
Under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, planning permission is required for the
carrying out on land of any development. Development is defined as the "carrying out of
building, engineering, mining or other operations in, on, over or under the land, or the
making of any material change in the use of any buildings or other land".
