Cell Biology and Cancer

Cancer and Chemical Poisons;
The cancer is caused by the dust and tar in chimneys. This is due to the
chimney sweeps made by the young men. They worked on the chimneys
which were full of dust and tar that landed on their skin. Most of them never
showered regularly which caused the residue to be left behind.
Cancer and Your Family History;
This certain cancer is inherited from the parents. This is discovered by having
the same disease treated on a child attack his two daughters. The tumor was
removed and the man was cured as a child but after having his children two
of his daughters had the same disease which is so rare, but occurred three
times in a generation.
Cancer and Radiation Exposure;
Skin cancer is caused by radiation rays from the machines. Technicians
concentrated on curing the patients during their radiation treatment. While
doing so, they had no protection and received more radiation than needed.
Cancer and UV light;
The skin cancer came from the sun. When people decided to relax by visiting
the beach and showing more skin, they never realized that they needed
protection against the Uv radation. The sun had the Uv radiation and they
were exposed.

Cancer Involves;
When a cell breaks from its restraints, it increases the rate of cell division
thus being transported through the bloodstream eventually producing new
tumors.
Cell division normally is;
The cell cycle clock integrates the mixture of signals the cell receives from its
neighbors and determine whether it should divide or not.
Cell cycle regulation is accomplished by;
The two types of genes, tumor suppresses (slows down division) and
protoancho (increases the rate of division), together they balance cell
division.
Cancer-causing agents often;
Chemical powerful agents are mutation agents as well.
When damage occurs to genes that regulate the cell cycle;

When genes get mutated, protoancho genes cause more division as the
tumor suppresser remain inactive thus increasing the number of cells.
