Objectives

After a lesson on suicide, TSWBAT list risk factors and


prevention techniques for suicide.

Psychomotor
Objectives

TSWBAT make a foldable on ch.9 lessons 1 and 2 in


mental health. Foldable will include mental disorders,
personality disorders, and suicide prevention techniques
and risk factors.

Affective Objectives TSWBAT participate in any class discussions, giving her


opinion or input.

Material

PowerPoint, Glencoe health book, paper, crayons/markers

Motivation

-Review lesson 1 on mental disorders


-Start powerpoint on suicide with definitions
-Go into risk factors
-Go over prevention techniques and what to do to help a
friend in need
-Explain foldables
-show example
-title page
-mental disorders
-Personality disorders
-Suicide risk factors/prevention techniques
-Encourage creativity and to use book
-Let them work on this until end of period

Evaluation

Foldable will be graded as their test grade for the week

Suicide can trouble anyone anywhere and is seen


differently in different cultures

Everyone can participate in making a foldable, no special


inclusions needed.
