Trading Card Assignment


For this assignment you will be given a historical figure in Canadian, American or European
history. You need to create a trading card that answers the questions below. You need to answer them
for the person that you have chosen. First you will research the information for your trading card. The
website below does not save your card, so make sure you have all the information BEFORE you start
filling in your trading card. To create the trading card, go to:
Google and type read, write, think trading card

How to create a trading card:


All the information you will need to enter on your trading card will come from the questions
above. Begin by:
1. Going to Google and type: read, write think trading card
2. Click GET STARTED
3. Enter your first and last name
4. When you are asked to choose your topic type the FIRST and LAST name of the person
you have chosen and click CREATE YOUR OWN.
5. To the right of the screen, below Complete the information to create your new card
Locate number 1: Selection name. Click on the prompt and type BACKGROUND.
6. Locate Label: and type DATE OF BIRTH.
7. Do not type anything in the box labeled question, as it does not show up on the card.
8. In the 4th box type your characters actual date of birth and location (if applicable.)
9. Locate the second Label: option and type CITIZENSHIP.
10. Again, do not write in the Question as it will not show up on the card.
11. In the last box, type the country of citizenship for your character.
12. Continue to do question 2, 3, 4 from above with the information you gathered.
13. When you are done entering your information about your 5 topics and the photo, click
Finish Editing.
14. See the exemplar on the back for printing instructions.
