Description: My I am From poem describes myself when I was younger and myself
now. This poem gives insight on my life and who I am.
Rationale: Standard Four means that I understand the content knowledge that is
needed in my classroom and that I will be able to detect that my students know the
content knowledge as well. I chose my I am From Poem because it shows that I
understood the content given to me by my instructor. The poem is meaningful to my
studies because it challenged me to meet the criteria given.

I am from cornfields
From Franklin Township to Shelbyville
Growing up the oldest meant being a good example

I am from adventure
Always the dare-devil of the group
Memories replay of being told to be careful!

I am from love
A husband who provides
While I cook, clean
And take care of our child

I am from sleepless nights

A beautiful son who rises before the sun
Whose smile can cure any sadness.

I am from innocence
Changing at least 20 diapers a day
Teaching preschoolers many different types of skills
Where there is never a dull moment
