The third piece that I put in my portfolio is called Feeding America.

I wrote
this piece over the idea of sustainable farming, and how it can be used to
help feed the already hungry America. This is one of the first papers that I
wrote in comp II. I chose the topic of sustainable farming because It was
something that I believe is the key to help feed the growing population in the
great U.S.A. The use of the chemicals that help other plants grow faster are
what is killing them. Sure the farms are getting better quantity on the crops
but what is the quality of the food that is being put on the table. Not to
mention the amount of farmers that sustainable farming will help save. With
sustainable farming the farmers will not have to compete with the big farms
that are shoveling out food that is not quality. With sustainable farming the
farmers will be on the same playing field
