I am interested in the front desk position that is advertised on your website. I believe that my past
experience and great costumer service skills are ideal for this position. I am the definition of a
people pleaser and will go to great lengths to make sure people are taken care of which lines up
well with the core values of your company.
Currently, I am a PBX operator at the Davenport Grand Hotel and a student at Washington State
University, in my final year pursuing a major in Hospitality Business Management. During my
years at Washington State University, I displayed both academic excellence as a member of two
honor societies, while also focusing on building a greater student community. While on the
Pullman campus I held two executive leadership positions, Vice President of Professional
Activities for my fraternity as well as the Treasurer for a student committee.
As part of my duties for my fraternity, I contacted businesses throughout the state of Washington
to schedule company tours for the student members, and made sure the tours went smoothly.
As the Treasurer of the student body committee for two consecutive years, I gained experience
putting on campus wide community events for over fifty people. These events included a dance,
a play, an annual poetry night and nationally known public speakers. For these events I made
sure the correct paperwork was completed. I was also in charge of purchasing the needed
materials. At the end of each semester it was my duty to balance the budget and at the end of
each semester, each line item was well under budget while the group also raised over $1000.

Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- Internal Controls, and Northern
Quest Resort and Casino Policies and Procedures.
Checking guest in and out of hotel using the hotels computer system.

Answering guest questions about the hotel and local area or inquiries pertaining to hotel
services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
Balance bank at end of shift and notify Supervisors or Managers of any discrepancies
immediately.
Answer all telephones within three rings.
Works as a team with other associates to maintain the best service standards available.
Up Sell guest on Rooms, Service, and Amenities.
Comply with hotel safety and Loss Control Procedures.
Goes through all guest comps to ensure the billing is correct.
Balance all credit card transaction throughout the hotel
Have knowledge of all hotel emergency procedures.
Maintain four star/four diamond service standards.
Have knowledge of the Camas Club and its policies and procedures.
Fulfill any reasonable work requested by a Manager or Supervisor.

Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.

Issues room keys and escort instructions to bellhop.

Keeps records of room availability and guests accounts.

Make and confirms Hotel, restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations, and


arrangements for tours

Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledger.

Provide exceptional service to customers and employees when performing job duties and
conduct oneself in a professional and businesslike manner to reflect Northern Quests high
standard of excellence.

Use proper interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and employees.

Share information with other departments to facilitate their successful performance.

Ensure guest confidentiality standards are followed.


Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.

Ensure control/protection of company assets.


May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.
