Dear Ms. Sandra Meshell
I am interested in the front desk position that is advertised on your website. I believe that my past
experience and great costumer service skills are ideal for this position. I am the definition of a
people pleaser and will go to great lengths to make sure people are taken care of which lines up
well with the core values of your company.
Currently, I am a PBX operator at the Davenport Grand Hotel and a student at Washington State
University, in my final year pursuing a major in Hospitality Business Management. During my
years at Washington State University, I displayed both academic excellence as a member of two
honor societies, while also focusing on building a greater student community. While on the
Pullman campus I held two executive leadership positions, Vice President of Professional
Activities for my fraternity as well as the Treasurer for a student committee.
As part of my duties for my fraternity, I contacted businesses throughout the state of Washington
to schedule company tours for the student members, and made sure the tours went smoothly.
As the Treasurer of the student body committee for two consecutive years, I gained experience
putting on campus wide community events for over fifty people. These events included a dance,
a play, an annual poetry night and nationally known public speakers. For these events I made
sure the correct paperwork was completed. I was also in charge of purchasing the needed
materials. At the end of each semester it was my duty to balance the budget and at the end of
each semester, each line item was well under budget while the group also raised over $1000.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Enclosed is my resume which details my skills and
past working experience. I will contact you in two weeks regarding the opening.
Sincerely,
Benjamin Migliuri
