Subject: Schedule Kyle Houstons six-month review

Dear Mrs. Inez:

Kyle has been improving since his arrival to the company six months ago, but he has not reached
a level high enough to be able to take on a team leader position. Kyle received an overall rating
of 2.42 out of 3 when evaluated by 15 peer assessments, which shows that he has strengths in
some areas while leaving out potential room for improvement. To provide this in more terms, I
have listed the assessment categories and how they are ranked in each, contributing, listening,
and facilitating group problem solving.
Contributing is a category in which Kyle excels in. His ranking is a 2.83 out of 3. Kyle positively
seeks to offer ideas and suggestions in meetings. He shows up early to all the meetings and meets
all deadlines for work. His team believes in him on most days. He is outstanding while some of
the days he is on top of it.
In the listening category, Kyle has scored a 1.96 out of 3 showing that he needs room for growth.
Kyles strength is that he limits discussion to main point of meeting. Where he can improve is in
in letting others talk, not forcing his ideas on others, and summarizing ideas. It is troubling that
members in his team scored him a 0 in this category, I would like to see it improved to at least a
2.5 before he is able to take on a team leader position.
In facilitating group problems solving is an area that Kyle an overall score of 2.18 out of 3. He
excels at staying on topic when leading the group in problem solving and in asking the group
questions. Areas he needs to work in are encouraging others to contribute in their discussions and
choosing a solution that benefits the whole group instead of his own decision. Kyle need for
improvement in those two areas in the most likely cause for one of his team members ranking
him as low as 0 in this category. I would like to see him have all of his rankings to be at a 2.5 or
greater within the next six months.

proved areas to be worked on, the company will continue to improve, and I look forward to
aiding my team in their growth towards achievement.
