into Rotary Int.
Speaking further to the President and Founder of this organisation, Mr.Arun Mozhi Varman
K ,22, we got a good excerpt of their thoughts and their need to help society.
Q. What were the initial stages of what is now Uthiram Info Bank?
A. A small group of me and my friends started helping people in need only through word of
mouth. Upon seeing, how much of help we can be we cracked an idea based on this and
slowly people started gathering to join the cause. I was extremely happy that my vision had
been put into effect.
Q. What are the current events of your group?
A. We had planned and executed a blood donation camp on 29 th April, 2014 and we had
successfully collected 61 units in 3hrs. It was a proud moment for Uthiram. We are now
collecting data to form a complete database for the launch of our Web Application.
Q. What is this web app?
A. It is app that we are about to launch in the near future where people can find out existing
donors in and around the area. It is for the public and targeted for the negative blood seekers
since that is the scarcest type of blood. The web app will contain donors name, blood group,
contact info and location so that the exchange of information is not intermediary.
