Dear General Electric Recruiting Committee:
I am interested in working as a Lead Production Engineer at General Electric
in Saudi Arabia, Dhahran. Because I am a person known for his
perseverance, hard work, and ability to interact with team members, I
strongly believe that I have what it takes to be a superb intern at General
Electric.
The past five years have taught me to be responsible, adaptable and
compassionate. Even before entering college, I worked hard to aid my family
after my father passed away in 2012. Working at Qatar Hydraulic Company, I
inventoried the stock. The stock included parts such as axial piston pumps,
external gear pumps, motors and cylinders. This taught me perseverance as
matching each part to its serial code was not an easy task. A tiny mistake
might cause complete chaos in the inventory. I also learned tenacity from
being athlete and specifically a basketball player. I love to face strong
competitors because they drive me to improve myself.
From 2012-2015, my leadership skills were polished when I started working
as an event manager. I organized events such as the Sports Day for Ras Gas
that featured over 2500 employees as well as the Appreciation Night for the
Commercial Bank's employees for those who worked for 20+ years. I had to
not only communicate with my colleagues but also guide them throughout
the events. In the summer of 2014, my communication abilities were
enhanced when I worked as the Labor Supervisor Assistant in Al Hammouri
Architectural Consultants in Jordan from June until August. I had the
opportunity to work with professionals from four different continents.
Developing a way to interact efficiently between laborers was my job since I
served as an assistant and a translator to my supervisors.
