Class
Constitution
Read: Shhh! Were Writing the Constitution by, Jean Fritz
Watch School House Rock Preamble
Discuss the purpose of rules.
Compare rules of our country and rules of our classroom.
Tell your students that the framers realized the changes would
have to made after the Constitution was written which is why
they included a way to make those changes . This is why the
Constitution is called a living document. Discuss your class rules
and how they can improve them.
Rewrite your class rules in a constitution format.
It is also a good idea to review your class rules and make
changes as needed when your students are having a difficult
time following the rules. This is a great way to get them back on
track!
