Folkdance Guidance

1. This competition is open to all bona fide students of the College of Business Administration.
Each year level is required to send representatives coming from any course as long as they are
from the same year level. Cross enrollees are not allowed to participate.
2. Each contingent from every year level must be composed of a minimum of ten (10) and a
maximum of sixteen (16) which could be all males, females, or a combination of both.
3. Each year level will present a different folkdance. This will be determined through drawing of
lots.
4. The time allotted for the entire performance is at least three (3) minutes and at most five (5)
minutes. Participants will not be allowed to continue their performance after this period.
5. The choreography should not be vulgar and must not contain sexually suggestive acts.
6. All music must be recorded in CDs and must be submitted to the organizing team one (1) hour
before the rehearsal starts. All CDs and CD casings should be clearly marked with the groups
name and track number to be played. The CD must bear only the music file to be played during
the performance to avoid unnecessary delay.
7. Appropriate attire or costume must be observed throughout the whole competition.
8. The use of hazardous materials for pros such as fire, confetti, sharp objects, and pyrotechnics are
strictly prohibited.
9. Participating groups must attend the final and technical rehearsal which shall be scheduled by the
organizing committee will not be held responsible for any technical failure due to absence in the
said rehearsals.
10. The participating groups must submit official names of participants with their respective
signatures attesting to its authenticity to the organizing committee.
11. The committee reserves the right to disqualify any participating group or otherwise whose acts
are in contravention with the above stated guidelines.
12. The competition will be on February 11, 2015. The call time for all participants shall be at 6:00
PM at the Luce Auditorium.
13. The composition of the Board of Judges shall be determined by the committee and its adviser, the
Student Council, and shall be announced only during the contest proper.
14. The verdict of the Board of Judges shall be deemed final and irrevocable.
