Major Brian M. Hart
Military Attache

Dear Major Hart,

With this letter I would hereby like to express my interest to work at the U.S. Embassy of Seoul, South
Korea. I dare to say that I am a fresh and prospective Lieutenant with short active duty deployment
experience in the government and public administrative, gained whilst studying for my BA degree in the
Wake Forest University.
I have always been interested in international relations, and therefore I was deployed to work with
Ministry of National Defense Republic of Korea, researched North Korean defectors, where I was one of
accepted cadets over 3000 applicants nationwide. Now I am in North Carolina for two years where I work
obtain my military commission upon graduation, as a Lieutenant. On this position, I got familiarized
myself with activities of Army Foreign Area Officer (FAO) at Embassy, and got motivated to work for the
Embassy of South Korea.
There are lots of reasons why I would like to work at the Your Embassy. Firstly, I am really impressed
with the history and bond of the US-Korea partnership. It is more than adorable how much has been
achieved in such a short time. I am also impressed by the national security policy achieved in terms of
defense growth. I am also familiar with the culture, and can say it is one of the fast-developed nation on
the World.
I hope therefore, that on consideration of my resume, you will be persuaded of my potential to perform
well and make a real contribution as a military attach assistant of US Embassy. In the meantime, I look
forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. I will be available to attend interview any time
this month, and Id really welcome the opportunity of discussing this position with you.

Yours faithfully,

Zee H. Kim
